Our Workmanship Warranty
DFW Toons stands behind the quality of our work. We provide a workmanship warranty on all labor performed by our team. The specific warranty period varies by service type:
- Repower installations: 1-year workmanship warranty
- Upholstery and flooring: 1-year workmanship warranty
- Electrical work: 1-year workmanship warranty
- General repairs: 90-day workmanship warranty
Parts and Materials
Parts and materials used in your project are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties. We will assist you in processing any manufacturer warranty claims for parts we have installed.
What's Not Covered
Our warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage from misuse, neglect, or accidents
- Damage from improper maintenance
- Modifications made by others after our work
- Damage from environmental factors (UV, weather, water intrusion)
- Pre-existing conditions not addressed in the original scope of work
Filing a Warranty Claim
To file a warranty claim:
- Contact us by phone or email within the warranty period
- Provide your original invoice or work order number
- Describe the issue in detail
- Schedule an inspection if required
Disclaimer
Pontoon boats are complex vessels with many interacting systems. While we perform thorough inspections, some issues may not be discoverable until work begins. We will notify you of any additional issues found during your project.
DFW Toons is not responsible for the overall seaworthiness of your vessel beyond the specific work we perform. Customers are responsible for ensuring their vessel is safe and properly maintained.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective workmanship. We are not liable for any incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of time, or inconvenience.
Maintenance Recommendations
To maintain your warranty and protect your investment:
- Follow all manufacturer recommendations for maintenance
- Keep your boat clean and protected from the elements when not in use
- Address any issues promptly before they become larger problems
- Use marine-grade products for cleaning and maintenance
- Schedule regular inspections and service
